Marisa Ferreira works across sculpture, painting, photography, and public art projects. Her practice explores the intersections between memory, place, and cultural identity to critically examine the role of the artist in interpreting and transforming the urban landscape. Often employing industrial materials and informed by autobiographical memory, her practice operates in dialogue with the work of artists like Donald Judd, Robert Smithson, Josef Albers, Per Kirkeby, and Olafur Eliasson.
