Depois de se tornar viral na internet sob o nome La Vie de Marie, conquista a atenção do público nacional em 2022. Este documentário, captado ao longo de quatro anos pelo seu amigo João, cristaliza a sua amizade e o crescimento de Maria no ponto mais sensível e desafiante da sua vida – a entrada na vida adulta e a afirmação da sua identidade na pequena vila que a viu crescer no norte de Portugal.

On Saturday, February 21, we will host a special screening of the film LA VIE DE MARIA MANUELA, with an introduction by producer Justin Amorim.

Maria Manuela refuses to surrender to conformity. From a very early age, she has painted and transformed her surroundings in a constant quest to materialize her inner universe. After going viral on the internet under the name La Vie de Marie, she captured national public attention in 2022. Filmed over the course of four years by her friend João, this documentary crystallizes their friendship and Maria’s growth at the most sensitive and challenging moment of her life – her transition into adulthood and the affirmation of her identity in the small village in northern Portugal where she grew up.

The screening will include English subtitles so that everyone can attend.
