This paper is the report of the III Euro-Latin American Forum – “The European Union and the Mercosur and the international system” aimed at developing an integrated vision of the relationship between the European Union and Mercosur. Thus, besides the traditional trade relations, the concept of integration, stages of integration, future perspectives, etc. was addressed. It was considered essential to analyse the state of integration in Mercosur and the European Union.
