The Lisbon Strategy in a knowledge society without borders: the brazilian view, por Mario Sergio Salerno & Glauco Arbix

This paper analyses the Brazilian strategy towards a knowledge-based society and economy, the perception and the influence of European Union’s Lisbon Strategy in the country, its impacts already visible and the possible future ones as well as joint projects and cooperation. The main guidelines of concerned Brazilian policies will be discussed, principally the Industrial and Technological Policy (PITCE4), the Program Brazil Three Times (Br3T), the Science Policy and the Educational Policy, all integrated with the PITCE. It also addresses the paradox that exists in Brazilian education.
